Leadership

Ben grew up in Concord and returned to live here in 2005. He attended Concord Academy and worked in the Development Office of the school for 18 years. Ben is the Director of Development for The Environmental League Of Massachusetts. He served on the board at Concord Children’s Center for six years and continued to volunteer for them in various capacities for several years. Ben worked on the 75th Anniversary Task Force for the Concord Carlisle Foundation and joined the board in 2023. Ben attended Connecticut College and lives with his wife and two kids on the campus of Concord Academy.

Kate joined the Board in 2024 and serves on the Allocations Committee. 

Chessie joined the Concord Carlisle Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2023 and serves on the Program Committee.

Prior to starting her family, Erika taught special education at the Carroll School. Now that her children are in elementary school, she is looking forward to giving back to the community through the Concord Carlisle Foundation! She is particularly excited about spreading the word about CCF to new families in town. Erika lives in Concord with her husband, Ben (a Concord native) and her three kids, Sam, Maya and Andrew.

Since 2001, Tim is the founder and owner of Design & Co., Inc., a brand strategy and design agency. The firm works within a wide range of market sectors, including architecture, construction, real estate, life sciences, software technology, and not-fpr-profit organizations. Formally trained as an architect, Tim earned Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University in 1988 and a Master of Architecture from Yale University in 1996. Tim has lived in Carlisle since 2006 and, together with his wife and photographer Gigi de Manio, has raised three children within the Concord Carlisle public school system. Tim is a sailor, loves all things outdoors, and has a penchant for acquiring and restoring mid-century modern furniture from Carlisle’s legendary Swap Shed.

Carrie moved to Concord in 2014 where she resides with her husband, two daughters and dog. Professionally, Carrie has been working in the marketing field since graduating in 1995 from Bowdoin College in Maine. Carrie is active in the Concord community and has been a CCYS coach for many years as well as a member of the Alcott Elementary PTG, volunteering in numerous capacities with much of her focus on the METCO Family Friends program. She was also a Girl Scout troop leader for three years, organizing fundraising activities and educational programming. In addition to volunteer work in Concord, Carrie is on the Corporation of an all-girls camp, Fleur de Lis, in New Hampshire. Carrie joined the Concord Carlisle Foundation’s Allocations Committee in 2018 and has been passionate about Foundation’s mission ever since. She joined the Concord Carlisle Foundation Board of Directors in July 2019.

Adrienne joined the Board in 2024.

Mike and his family moved to Concord in 2021 and have loved joining this incredibly strong community. His professional experience has been as a leader in brand strategy, marketing and innovation with deep expertise in food and beverage. He is a member of the Cornerstone Initiative and the Marketing Committee.

Elisabeth Sannicandro (Libby) grew up in Concord and happily returned to town in 2016. She has spent over 20 years working in investment management, most recently managing fixed income funds focused on opportunities in emerging markets. She lives with her husband and, sometimes, her three mostly grown children along with a very thoughtful greyhound. Libby has volunteered two years on the Allocations Committee and joined the Board in 2020. She now serves on the Finance Committee at the Concord Carlisle Foundation.

Lisa moved to Carlisle in 2021 with her husband, two kids and two dogs. Originally from upstate New York, she spent seven years living in Australia before relocating to Massachusetts in 2014 to pursue an MBA in Nonprofit Management at the Heller School for Social Policy & Management. Though she still feels “new” to town, she quickly became involved with CCF’s Allocations team. She loved learning about the impactful work local organizations were doing to address the unmet and often unseen needs in our community. After three years with Allocations, she joined the Board in 2024. Professionally, Lisa is a social sector consultant working at the intersection of social and financial justice, supporting people and systems in nonprofits, philanthropy, and local government. You can find her hiking Carlisle’s trails with her dogs, trying her hand at gardening (with mixed results!) or teaching indoor cycle classes at the Thoreau Club.
