Conduct Grant Allocation

2022-2023 Grant Allocations Committee

Each year the Concord Carlisle Foundation awards over $500,000 to local organizations that help our neighbors in need. The Concord Carlisle Foundation Grant Allocations committee is essential to making this happen.

The Grant Allocations committee is composed of over 30 volunteer community residents and Concord Carlisle Foundation Board members. The committee is divided into teams, each of which is assigned 3-4 grant applications. Each team has a team lead who has been through Allocations before and coordinates meetings and deliverables.

The teams perform due diligence by reviewing program applications, conducting site visits and interviews, and making program funding recommendations to the Board of Directors. The Concord Carlisle Foundation Board of Directors synthesizes all information and recommendations to make final funding decisions.

The grant allocations process runs from January through April and requires about 10-12 hours of time in total.

Our annual Grant Allocations Timeline (General):

  • December – grant applications available
  • January – completed grant applications due
  • February-March – grant application review and site visits by Grant Allocations Teams
  • May – Board of Directors makes final funding decisions
  • June – Grants presented at annual Day of Giving
